The Nexus 4 can connect to most LTE networks in Canada.
 
To enable this, open the phone application (as if you were to dial a number) and enter ''*#*#4636#*#*''. The Testing screen should appear. Choose "Phone Information".
 
Scroll down until you see the option ''Select preferred network type'', which should have "WCDMA Preffered" selected. Change this value to "LTE/GSM auto (PRL). Hit the back button to exit the Testing screen.
 
Go into your Phone's settings. Under "Wireless and Networks", choose "Mobile Networks" (or "More" if you don't see that option, which should enable the Mobile Networks option). From there, choose "Access Point Names".
 
Select the three dots in the bottom right and select "New APN". Give this new APN whatever name you desire- ex. LTE- and under APN, enter the correct APN LTE string for your carrier. For Rogers/Fido, this is '''ltemobile.apn'''. Once the new APN has been added, touch the radio option (blue dot) to set it.
