Video editing enthusiasts will want to be able to dump video and audio from discs they own to their hard drive to compress for backup purposes or add to video compilations. These packages will be of great help doing so. Be sure to have all of the multimedia USE flags set in your /etc/make.conf or per-package before doing the emerge.
