This living document is intended to be used as a resource for end users aspiring to use Gentoo Linux.

In spring of 2006 I participated in a company meeting in Edmonton, Alberta, where an IBM consultant by the name of John Elm made a presentation using his thinkpad laptop. At the end of the presentation I noticed that he had been running Windows in a Window. I then asked him about the underlying operating system. This my first exposure to both Virtualization and Gentoo Linux.

The Gentoo road is the most challenging, yet most fulfilling, path to computing enlightenment. If you are reading this, chances are you didn't come here by accident, and you either need support or guidance with something Gentoo related, or you are considering becoming a Gentoo user. If it is the latter, you must first ask yourself, "Is Gentoo right for me"?
